m. [A. S. brœr], a briar, Haustl. 14; the explanation given in Lex. Poët. is scarcely right.

Orthography: The Cleasby & Vigfusson book used letter ö to represent the original Old Norse vowel ǫ. Therefore, brörr may be more accurately written as brǫrr.
