m. a dint, a nickname, FmS. ii. 67; hnakka-d., a ‘neck-dint,’ i. e. a shot by a bolt in the nape of the neck, Orkn. 416 (in a verse); the hnakka-dyz of the MS. is = dytts, as vaz = vatns, braz = brattS.
