u, f. a recital of the law (by the bishop); koma til þings ok telja þar lögtalu fyrir mönnum, N. G. l. i. 378, v. l.

Orthography: The Cleasby & Vigfusson book used letter ö to represent the original Old Norse vowel ǫ. Therefore, lög-tala may be more accurately written as lǫg-tala.
