f. (655 xii. 3), mod. munnsöfnuðr, m. language; íllr m., bad language, swearing and the like.

Orthography: The Cleasby & Vigfusson book used letter ö to represent the original Old Norse vowel ǫ. Therefore, munns-höfn may be more accurately written as munns-hǫfn.
