m. in the latter part of pr. names, [Goth. and old Scandin. -rid, in Wodu-rid], Guð-röðr, Sig-röðr (whence by metathesis Sigurðr), Hún-röðr.

Orthography: The Cleasby & Vigfusson book used letter ö to represent the original Old Norse vowel ǫ. Therefore, röðr may be more accurately written as rǫðr.
