Old Norse Dictionary - tönnla

Meaning of Old Norse word "tönnla" (or tǫnnla)

As defined by the Cleasby & Vigfusson Old Norse to English dictionary:

tönnla (tǫnnla)
að, to attack with the teeth, backbite, quarrel; … þér tönnlið ok upp etið hverr annan innbyrðis, Gal. v. 15; tönnlast og tyggjast, to quarrel.
