Old Norse Dictionary - stjölr

Meaning of Old Norse word "stjölr" (or stjǫlr)

As defined by the Cleasby & Vigfusson Old Norse to English dictionary:

stjölr (stjǫlr)
m., acc. pl. stjölu, Hornkl. [cp. stél]:—the hinder part; létu upp stjölu stúpa, Hornkl.; stjölinn konungsins, Fms. xi. 64; með breiðan stjöl, Bjarn. (in a verse).
