að, [A. S. tealtjan; Engl. tilt], to ‘tilt,’ amble; hence also tölt, n. an ambling pace; hóf-tölt, ‘hoof-tilt.’

Orthography: The Cleasby & Vigfusson book used letter ö to represent the original Old Norse vowel ǫ. Therefore, tölta may be more accurately written as tǫlta.
