1. að, to paw or scrabble with the hands; ok kraflaði fyrir (frá?) nösunum, he (an exposed infant) had pawed (the snow) from his face, Fs. 60; still used, krafla fram úr e-u, to crawl out of a strait.

2 krafla

2. u, f. a nickname of an infant, see the preceding word: the name of a volcano in Iceland.
