H. 112, Bs. i. 765, Karl. 296; maki bólstrs, the ‘bolster-mate,’ poët. the head, Ad. 6; tveggja, fjögurra manna maki, a match (in strength) for two, four:—a mate, esp. of animals, birds, Bb. 2. 21, 29, 31.
