m. pl., of the Finnish messengers, prob. from Finn. Saomi, Fs. 22, for this seems to have been the real reading in the lost Cod. Vatnshyrna; Bartholin De Causis Contemptae Mortis, p. 467, gives the same reading; other copies read sendisveinn.
