Dan. dannefæ, but in a different sense, of property which is claimed by no one, and therefore falls to the king; ‘dane-fee,’ i. e. hereditas illorum qui nullum post se heredem relinquunt, Thork. Dipl. i. 3; cp. early Swed. Dana-arver, Schlyter.
