d, regna, Hom. 5, Fms. x. 323, [regn; cp. Dan. regne; Swed. regna]:—to rain, 656 B. 12: followed by a dat., rignir eldi ok brennu-steini, Ver. 13; rignir blóði, Darr.; blóði hafði rignt í skúrinni, Eb. 260, passim in old and mod. usage: part. rigndr, wet from rain, Bs. i. 322.
