Meaning of Old Norse word "hörkla" (or hǫrkla)

As defined by the Cleasby & Vigfusson Old Norse to English dictionary:

hörkla (hǫrkla)

að, [hark and harki], to hobble, go with difficulty, as if walking on rough ground; hann hörklar af heiðinni ofan, Bs. i. 443.

Orthography: The Cleasby & Vigfusson book used letter ö to represent the original Old Norse vowel ǫ. Therefore, hörkla may be more accurately written as hǫrkla.
