Meaning of Old Norse word "ör-óf" (or ǫr-óf)

As defined by the Cleasby & Vigfusson Old Norse to English dictionary:

ör-óf (ǫr-óf)
= örhóf, immensity; örófi vetra áðr væri jörð of sköpuð, Vþm.; öróf manna ok vápna, Mork. 139; ræna örófi fjár, Jomsv. S. ch. 33; öróf fjár, FaS. ii. 538, MS. 656 B.
