u, f. [akin to válgr (?), changing into ó]:—a swell, swelling, esp. of water; sævar ólga, the swell of the sea, Fas. ii. 378, freq. in mod. usage; cp. also ylgja = the rolling, of waves. ólgu-sjór, a rolling swell of sea.
