n. [Lat. pastus; Fr. pâte?], a feast; in the phrase, liggja á pasti, of a wild beast, to be sucking the blood out of the prey; the Landn. 235 has liggja á fasti, see fastr: gleðinnar past, Lil. 90; hyggju past, Krosskv.

2 past

II. pastr, n. animal vigour; það er ekkert pastr í honum, there is no pith in him. pastrs-lauss, adj. pithless, feeble, e. g. of children suffering from atrophy.
