u, f. [Ivar Aasen luva; cp. lubbi], rough, matted hair, as a nickname; Haralds hár var sítt ok flókit, fyrir þá sök var hann Lúfa kallaðr, Fagrsk. 9: cp. the vow of king Harold with that of Civilis, Tac. Hist. iv. 61.
