u, f. [from Lat. mille], a mile, Rb. passim, Al. 109, but seldom. used in good old writers or in poets, for the verse Fb. i. 214 is not genuine, and the only passage from a classical Saga is Lv. 106—ok segja menn at fáar mílur gékk hann þaðan frá (paper MS., of a journey through Germany from Rome).
