= sá, demonstr. pron., is of frequent occurrence on Runic stones, e. g. sar eigi flo, he flew not; sár vann Nurviag at kristnu, he won Norway to Christianity; this ‘sár’ is simply a nominative case formed like öngr, margr, from einngi, manngi.
