adj. [rás], running far, far-roaming, of deer; dýr ólm ok víðræs, Art. 79; in Gkv. 2. 11, the true reading may be, á víðræsar varga leifar (an hypallage for víðræssa varga leifar), into the realm of the wide-roaming wolves, i. e. into the wild forest (see vargr, and leif I).
