Definitions

1 útilegumanna-sögur (útilegumanna-sǫgur)

f. pl., see Maurer’s Volksagen 240, and Ísl. Þjóðs. ii. 160 sqq. The first traces of these legends, so peculiar to Icel., are those of the hidden valley Thorisdale, recorded in Grettla, peopled by a race half men half giants.
