u, f., gen. sessna, N. G. L. i. 104; a seat in a ship (= rúm), the size of the ship was counted by the ‘seats;’ þat skip er með sessum má telja, N. G. L. i. 39; ok göra eigi skemra en sessum má telja, 99; tvítug-s., a twenty-oared ship, id.; þrettún-s., fimt;ui-s., sextuu-s. (q. v.), id. II. a cushion in a chuïch, Ám. 77.
